What Are The Mink Hat Cleaning Methods?

Cleaning with Shampoo

It will be an extremely effective method for cleaning mink hats because the shampoo foams very much, and you need to apply it to clean and hygiene your dirty hat. Other shampoos are not recommended due to their high pH value. It should always be wiped using baby shampoo.

As the first step of the cleaning process, you need to brush off the dust on the hat you are using first. For this, you need to brush the inner part of the hat first, and then the outer part, without skipping all the edges, together with the clothes brush. Then prepare the water to clean it.

First you need to prepare water with shampoo in a bowl. For this, you need to put warm water in a small bowl-like bowl, put baby shampoo in it and foam it with a fork. After the foaming process, you will wipe with a microfiber cloth or a sponge.

It should be rubbed on the hat you brushed on a foam cloth or sponge and wipe with gentle movements. Wiping should always start from the inside. It does not clean the inner lining of some mink hat wearers. However, the undercoat part is also dirty due to reasons such as sweat or dirt and oil in the hair. After wiping, the sponge or cloth should be washed and wetted and removed by wiping so that no foam residue remains.

After cleaning the mink hat, the damp hat should be dried at room temperature.

Alcohol and Salt

Warm water should be placed in a bowl and add alcohol along with the amount of salt we have specified in it. We would like to state again that this method should be applied only in white mink hats. The stain will come off due to the use of alcohol. However, as a result of using it on colored hats, it causes the color of the hat to become bleaching.

The stained part of the hat needs to be wiped by dipping a cloth or sponge into the mixture you have prepared. If the stain is dried and old, take 1 tablespoon of the mixture and pour it over the stain and leave it for 20 minutes. Finally, a dry cloth should be moistened by soaking in tap water and the hat should be wiped. You can use it with drying.

Powder Cleaning

We offer an effective method for hats to regain their former shine if they lose their shine. With the powder, you will gain the cleanliness and brightness of the faded and shine hat. First of all, the dust on the hat must be removed. After removing these powders, some talcum powder should be put into a dry sponge. Be careful not to spill too much on the sponge.

Then, it should be wiped with very gentle movements with the sponge. Your application will be effective as it will give the powder shine and achieve a clean appearance. After wiping with powder, you should wait 10 minutes, wipe it with a damp cloth and start using it after it dries.

Cleaning with Carbonate

Put warm water in the bowl, add baking soda into it and stir, let the carbonate dissolve in the water. You should dip a clean sponge in the mixture you have prepared and wipe both the inner lining and the outer surface of the hat carefully and without pressing too much. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then rinse it off by wiping it with a damp clean cloth. You should not start using it immediately, and you can use it after drying by keeping it in a warm room for a few hours.
