  • Instead of using chemical detergents, it is always cleaned with the materials in your home to prevent deformation.

Fur hats are the most preferred type of hat in cold climates because they keep them warmer. If this type of hat is not maintained, its useful life will be reduced. Since the brushing process will prolong its life, you must do the correct brushing. Brushing a fur hat should always be done in the opposite direction and it is important to brush it with gentle movements. It is always more effective to brush with a wooden comb than with plastic brushes.

You should know that the furs will not be ironed and leave them to dry at room temperature after the cleaning process to prevent damage. Any application of heat will damage your fur after it has been cleaned. Drying with a hair dryer is a very wrong method.

Combing it with a wooden comb after each use will also maintain its brightness and beauty.

Cleaning with White Soap

Remember that you will also clean it using white soap or Arabian soap, if you have one in your home. You must first put water in a bowl. Then you should put a piece of Arab soap or white soap grated into it. You have to mix it and let it foam. Since fur is a natural accessory, the materials you will use for cleaning should be natural. First, take your fur hat in your hand and you should comb it in the opposite direction of the area where the wool is located. You need to make very gentle movements, otherwise the fur will be deformed.

Microfiber cloth should be dipped in detergent water and squeezed out more water. First of all, you should clean the lining part of the fur that is contaminated by sweat or oil on the hair. Then, in order to clean the outer surface, the microfiber cloth should be washed in tap water and soaked by soaking in the detergent water that you made again, and the outer surface should be wiped towards the side where the wool is located. Then, you should take a clean microfiber cloth and moisten it under tap water and wipe it so that there is no detergent residue.

Vinegar and Salt Cleaning

  • 1 cup of white vinegar;
  • 2 tablespoons of table salt;
  • Warm water;
  • Comb;
  • Microfiber cloth.

It is always known as one of the effective methods for general cleaning. Since vinegar and salt are effective in killing microbes, it is recommended that you use this method in hat cleaning in order not to get sick in cold weather. First of all, the first thing you will do is to put the colorless and unleavened vinegar and table salt in a bowl and add approximately 200 grams of warm water in the amount of a glass of water and mix and let the table salt dissolve.

First of all, you should comb it to open the fur hat due to both dust and weather conditions. In this way, some of the dust will come out. It is always effective to comb the fur in the opposite direction. Then, firstly soak the cloth and moisten it in the water you have prepared to clean the lining part of the vinegar and salty water, which is inside the inner part of the cloth and is contaminated due to sweating of your head.

Wipe the liner part clean. Then you should clean the outer surface of the fur you have just combed.

During wiping, be sure to wash the cloth frequently and soak it in the water that you have prepared again and wipe it clean . You should thoroughly wash the cloth in tap water and clean it by wiping it with a clean and damp cloth to remove the vinegar water residues and clean. Always let the fur dry at room temperature. It is not recommended to dry it by placing it in the sun or on a heater.
