How to Whiten Sports Shoes? You Can Make Your Sneakers Like New! Here is the Method...

Periodic cleaning will keep your shoes looking (and smelling) their best. Want to learn how to clean your shoes without damaging them? Here are the most practical and easy ways to clean your sneakers...

It's hard to keep your shoes pristine without cleaning them regularly. As soon as these new sneakers come out of the box, you'll want to wear them outside—which they'll hold up against dirt, mud, scratches, and stains.

We recommend proper care and maintenance, including cleaning, to ensure your sneakers perform at peak performance over time. Before you begin, place your shoes in a shoe tree or stuff them with crumpled newspapers to help retain their shape while cleaning. Then get to work.

WHAT YOU NEED TO CLEAN SHOES
dish soap

Baking soda

Magic Eraser

Leather Care Cream

White Vinegar

TOOLS TO MAKE YOUR JOB EASIER
shoe brush

Toothbrush

Soft Clean Cloth

Suede Brush

These tips will help you keep your sneakers and running shoes clean in a few easy steps.

WHAT ABOUT USING A BRUSH?
Remove loose dirt from the outsole, midsole and uppers using a dry, soft-bristled shoe brush. No shoe brush? No problem, an old toothbrush works fine.

PREPARE CLEANING SOLUTION
Mix warm water with a small amount of mild laundry detergent or dish soap.

You can also make an effective cleaning paste for white and lighter colored shoes by mixing equal parts baking soda and water.

WASH SHOES ON YOUR HANDS
Remove the shoelaces and apply a small amount of mild cleaning solution to them. Massage the laces with your hands, rinse and then dry with a soft cloth.

WASH THE SOLES OF THE SHOES
Apply the mild solution to a soft-bristled brush, toothbrush, or wash cloth. Thoroughly clean the outsole and midsole, take time to clean every part of the soles. Dry with a soft cloth.

Note: If you need to wash your insoles, first remove them and clean them with your solution, giving them time to dry before putting them back in your shoes.

USE CLEANER FOR THE TOPS
Use the mild solution and a soft-bristled brush, toothbrush, or soft damp cloth to clean the tops. Take your time and don't rub too hard.

Once you're happy with the look, use a dry microfiber towel or soft cloth to remove as much soapy moisture and dirt as possible. Repeat if necessary. Avoid rubbing dry as it can abrade the shoe fabric or spread small remaining dirt particles.
