Leaving the wound open won't heal any faster!

Mistakes you know right in wound treatment. Experts explained

Experts say that many people have more wrong information than correct information in wound treatment, no matter how small or large. Although people see each wound as one, each wound is personal and requires different treatments. It is of great importance that the wounds are controlled and treated with appropriate care, and if they do not heal, they are treated by specialist doctors.

It is possible to be injured in many ways at home, at work, at school and on the street. Sometimes falling, sometimes a knife cut, a paper cut... People can get injured in many ways, but in general, similar interventions are made. Wound treatments made unconsciously for years, based on hearsay, can sometimes make the situation worse. At that point, experts explained what needs to be considered... Here are the correct known mistakes in wound treatment...

DO NOT CLEAN WOUNDS WITH OXYGEN WATER AND TICENCEDIODE
Small abrasions and wounds are cleaned with oxygenated water and tincture diode so that they do not get infected. However, although this protects it from microbes, it also damages the cells in the injured area, which will provide healing. At the same time, such alcohol-containing substances can irritate the area and cause an allergic state. Instead, it will be much more useful to cover it with a cloth after washing it with clean water and soap. Diabetic patients should consult a doctor after the first intervention in such injuries.

THE ITCHED WOUND MAY BE INFECTED
In general, itchy wounds are called healing signs. However, this may not be quite true either. So yes, one of the signs of healing is itching, but healing may not always be the only reason for itching. Itching and discomfort in the injured area can indicate drug allergy, irritation, and even the onset of infection. For this, the wound should be followed closely and any doubt should be consulted to the doctor.

LEAVING THE WOUND OPEN DOES NOT HEAL QUICKLY
Oxygen is necessary for the wound to heal, but the wound must remain moist, not dry. The healing process of the dried crusty wound will be quite long. This delays healing. Although the scab is good because it inhibits microbes, it is not good for healing. In such cases, there are dressing materials that allow the wound to breathe, keep it moist and protect it from microbes. After the wound is cleaned, if it is a dirty wound, antibiotic ointment is applied and the dressing is covered and the dressing is changed daily.

DON'T LET MINOR WOUNDS BEWARE
Most people think that minor wounds are insignificant and will heal on their own. However, this idea is quite wrong. A wound is a disruption of the integrity of the skin that protects the body from microbes. Microbes entering the body from here can create infections that can cause much larger wounds. Especially people with diseases such as diabetes should care about even the smallest scrape. After the wound is thoroughly cleaned, it should be covered with at least a band-aid and checked for infection for the following week.
