Bamboo blinds are a completely natural and environmentally friendly alternative to plastic or synthetic blinds. Since these blinds of roller blinds are wooden, it is necessary to clean them properly without causing any damage to the quality of such curtains. There are also some special methods for these cleanups. Like other roller blinds, bamboo blinds will collect dust after a certain period of time and in some cases will unfortunately become moldy.

The following methods can be applied to clean the roller blind without removing it .

  •  Clean your blinds with the help of a lint collector or a clean cloth to remove the dust particles accumulated between the laths of the roller blind.

  • If mold starts to form on your bamboo blinds of your roller blinds or if dirty dirt that cannot be powdered starts to accumulate, you can wash such stains, dirt and rust with the help of a specially formulated mixture. First of all, put some warm water in a bowl and you can get a special formula by mixing oily soap, vinegar or bleach as an aid.

  •  Soak the parts of your bamboo roller blinds in the water you have prepared for 2-3 minutes. Then, use a soft sponge (or cloth) to clean the dirt on them thoroughly.

  • Although you can clean your bamboo roller blind well, if there is still some mold on it, you can clean it with the help of a fungicide or antifungal solution for this process. 
  • Before you begin cleaning bamboo curtains, carefully read the cleaning instructions on your curtain manufacturer's packaging. In this way, you may have prevented any wrong application that could harm your curtain.
