The human body needs a lot of calcium because our bones and teeth, as well as our nerves and muscles, need calcium. Did you know that eggshells are 90 percent pure calcium? There is no other food that contains this much calcium. Finding eggshells for your dinner is no fun, but did you know that these annoying shells are actually versatile? We don't recommend cooking with them on your own, but there are lots of other things you can use them for!

AFTER READING THIS, YOU WILL NEVER THROW YOUR EGG SHELL AGAIN!

There is a lot of debate about whether eggs are really as healthy for us as claimed. However, eggshells also need to be very healthy. The National Institute of Health has done a lot of research on ground eggshell powder. Apparently, this powder can be very well absorbed by the human body and has many positive consequences. Since egg shells contain plenty of calcium, they strengthen our bones and produce healthy blood cells. Also, the eggshell will help lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Half a teaspoon of ground eggshell contains 1,000 to 1,500 milligrams of calcium, which is 90% of our daily needs.

REMOVING BURNED FOOD
Going crazy with burnt food at the bottom of your frying pan (or other pots and pans) will be a thing of the past once you learn this eggshell trick! Crack some eggshells into the pan in question. Add some salt and hot water, scrub with the sponge and your pan will be clean once again.

SHARPENING YOUR BLENDER'S BLADES
Using a whetstone to sharpen your blender's blades is nearly impossible; you can never get a good angle. Fortunately, this problem is easily fixed. Refrigerate a few eggshells for half an hour and then put them in your blender. Add some water and start the blender. Your knives will be like new!

USE AS FERTILIZER

Eggshells are packed with lime, which has the potential to really benefit your plants. Dry the husks and grind or pulverize as little as possible. Store this in a jar and take it out when you need it. Mix the powdered bark with some potting soil and, with a little fertilizing, plant it where your soil can.

EATING EGG SHELL
Eggshells are healthy, at least according to the National Institutes of Health. You can use these by grinding them into a fine powder in a food processor. The easiest way to eat eggshells is to add half a teaspoon to a glass of water. However, it probably doesn't taste very good. So you can try adding some to your smoothie or porridge. If eggshell juice doesn't appeal to you, you can try adding some eggshell powder to your coffee. In addition to the fact that you will consume more calcium, it makes your coffee taste better. Ground eggshells will make the coffee less bitter and much smoother. Make sure your eggshells are boiled to kill all bacteria. If you want to be extra sure that all bacteria is killed, place the eggshells on a baking sheet and bake at 180 degrees for about ten minutes. Then add half a teaspoon to your coffee, or if you're drinking filter coffee, sprinkle some on your filter.
