RESPONSE TO CRITICISM FROM DIZDAR

The country where I was born, the women here, we all have a struggle, it exists here and around the world. We know how hard it is to be a woman, and I gave a talk about it.

In the movie, Dizdar, who plays the character of Nuray, who lost a part of her leg in the Ankara station massacre, presented her award to “all fighting spirits waiting to experience the good days they deserve in Turkey”.

Dizdar's speech in its entirety is as follows:
The character of Nuray, whom I play in the movie, is a woman who struggles for what she believes in and for her existence and has to pay a price for this cause. I would like to work for a long time to get to know and understand her, but unfortunately, being a woman in the geography I live requires knowing the feelings of Nuray and Nurays by heart since the day I was born. In order to give strength to the struggle of Nuray and women like her; I present to all my sisters who do not bow down to those who are deemed worthy of them and take action, who risk everything for this cause and who do not give up hope no matter what, and to all struggling spirits waiting to experience the good days they deserve in Turkey.
