What are the Healthy Effects of Our Daily Routines on Our Psychology?

We took a closer look at the positive effects of our daily routines on our health.

Human psychology and mood change from day to day. If these changes are too frequent and extreme, disorders such as depression may occur. It is in our hands to balance our mood and live a happy life. How our days go is important for a happy life. There may be many factors in whether our day is good or bad, but how we start the day usually plays an important role for the rest of the day. While we feel good when we wake up in the morning, we can get demoralized by bad news later, and we can improve our mood in the evening of days when we wake up unhappy and bored. However, when we look at it in general, how we motivate ourselves for the day when we first wake up in the morning plays an important role in the course of our day. So, what kind of plans and activities can we make when we start the day and during the day to ensure that we have a productive and enjoyable day?

1. Quality and Sufficient Sleep
Sleep allows us to take a break and recharge. Quality and healthy sleep renews and prepares our psychology and physical energy for the next day. Deep sleep, or REM sleep, is the sleep period in which the events and emotions we experience are processed in our brain. If our deep sleep is of poor quality and shorter than it should be, our mood the next day can prevent us from having a pleasant day. It also causes us to feel physically tired and exhausted. In short, regular and quality sleep increases the peace and efficiency of the day that follows.

2. Physical Cleanliness
When we wake up in the morning, we can start the day fresh by physically cleaning ourselves, such as taking a shower and washing our face. Preparing for the day in a way that makes us feel good when we look in the mirror will motivate us a lot. When we start the day feeling exhausted and tired, our mood will be the same for the rest of the day. This situation greatly affects our self-confidence and mood during the day.

Exercise 3
We should set aside certain days and hours of our work or school life for physical and spiritual exercise. Even if it is not long hours, we should fill our free time with exercises such as meditation, yoga and pilates that will relax us both spiritually and physically. During these exercises, we can disconnect from the world for a moment, get out of our busy thoughts and thus feel psychologically refreshed. We feel refreshed for the rest of the day and this increases our productivity. We should continue our day without forgetting our health during our busy tempo.

4. Planning
We develop our sense of responsibility by planning what to do at the beginning of the week or day. In this way, we can do what we need to do more enthusiastically and without forgetting. Of course, it is not possible to always follow this plan, but keeping up as much as possible will increase our efficiency. Most importantly, being planned brings order. Order psychologically stabilizes people and makes them feel safe.

These suggestions allow us to spend our days more peacefully, happily and productively. Many other things can be added to these suggestions, such as eating healthy and keeping a diary. However, not every day can be spent with the same productivity and happiness, and this is quite natural. If we want to spend some days doing nothing and just lying down, we should not prevent this and allow ourselves to rest. The important thing is to understand what our soul and body want from us at that moment and to act accordingly. In the flow of life, being calm and resting a little is as necessary as being productive. We can even say that it is a part of productivity. As a result, the most important thing for our mental health is to make an effort without wearing ourselves out to live a happy, successful and peaceful life.
