Do you have red eyes or a sore throat? This could be due to this spot on your washing machine.

We need to clean the washing machine, which is one of the veteran white goods of our house, from time to time. But do we really clean our washing machine thoroughly? What is the detail in washing machine cleaning, which is important for health?

Have you ever experienced allergic reactions, sore throat, respiratory problems, and irritated mucous membranes? Then it may be time to properly clean your washing machine. Your health problems may simply be due to forgetting to clean an important spot in your washing machine. Yes, really: Your washing machine could be causing those red eyes and sore throats.

Hardly anyone clears this spot.

DO YOU HAVE RED EYES OR THROAT PAIN? THIS MAY BE CAUSED BY THIS POINT ON YOUR WASHING MACHINE
You probably clean the outside of your washing machine regularly, and maybe check the rubber seal on the inside once in a while. Very good, but have you ever checked the back of that rubber seal? Is your answer no? Then you are not alone. We should definitely do this more often though, because a lot of mold can form at this point. This is not only very gross, but can also lead to a host of health problems. If you don't clear this spot often enough, you may experience pain in your nerves and joints, allergic reactions, sore throat, breathing problems, nausea, and irritated mucous membranes, among other things.

RUBBER GASKET
Here's how to clean the back of the gasket: Open the door of your machine and clean the back of the rubber gasket with a crumpled piece of paper. There's a good chance a lot of gray stuff pops up. It's a mix of hairs, skin flakes, crusty soap remnants, and body oils that are left behind if you wash too much at low temperatures or use too much laundry detergent.

SOAP COMPARTMENT AND DRUM
Apart from the rubber gasket, it is very important that you clean the other parts of your machine properly. One of these points is the soap compartment. Remove the chamber from the machine and clean it with the brush. Then use a rag to wipe down the opening that houses the baffle as well. You can clean the drum by pouring a generous amount of vinegar or half a glass of soda. Set your machine to 90 °C program. The combination of vinegar and high temperature causes oil, dirt and scale to dissolve. Thus, your machine will be completely cleaned and your laundry will smell wonderful again!
