A new study has found that two-thirds of British workers believe women are better bosses than men.

Of the 2,300 employees surveyed by the British Business Excellence Awards, 67 percent said they believe female leaders are more effective at their jobs than male bosses.

According to the Daily Mail's report, female leaders were perceived as superior to men in key leadership areas such as multitasking and organizational skills, while 83 percent of employees viewed female bosses as more empathetic.

74 percent believe female bosses have a more collaborative leadership style, while 69 percent believe women are more approachable and supportive in the workplace.

More than four-fifths of employees think female bosses are better than men at creating a positive work environment.

THE LIMITS OF BUSINESS WORLD

The only area where men were perceived better than women was related to "innovative solutions", with 54 percent of respondents finding men more effective.

“The results of the research show that promoting and developing female leaders can have a positive impact on job performance and employee satisfaction,” said Sarah Austin, director of the group.

“Women in business have come a long way in changing outdated stereotypes, but we must continue to push archaic boundaries and make sure we are represented at the very top of British business.” she said.

The research also shared the information that only nine of the UK's 100 largest companies have female CEOs.
